My name is Elijah. It's good to meet you.
If you are part of the LGBTQ+ community, neurodivergent, or have experienced relational or religious trauma, you might feel like you don't fit in the world around you. You might have been made to feel less than because you don’t fit within what you were told is “normal.” You were told you had to hide parts of yourself to be accepted and loved, and now you find it hard to let those parts out without feeling shame even if it’s safer to do so. You may believe that you have been damaged or broken by your trauma or that parts of your are bad or even sinful. You might even feel like you don't know who you are.
I want to help you connect with yourself and all the parts of you that you were told don’t belong. I am queer, have ADHD, and have experienced religious trauma and healing on the other side. I am passionate about supporting others as they learn to accept themselves as they are and and to form authentic connection and community.
I am a relational, anti-oppressive therapist. I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and have completed the IFS Institute Level 1 training. Using this model means that I welcome all parts of you and your experiences.
